EDKES RENEWAL PLAN 
 

At Koontz Elementary School, students and adults will gain and apply the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. We will focus on social-emotional learning and value it as part of the academic program. We will build a team that includes school staff, parents and community members to support individual student’s social, emotional and academic growth.
